Wherever you find yourself in life, give praise. Whatever you face in life, give praise. However you are doing emotionally, physically, or spiritually, give your praise to God.

We need to sing of the hope that breaks forth in the heart of weary souls. Are we hearing the pinnacle of praise rising forth in this book? Praise for the Lord...

The created order praises the Lord because it knows it exists because the Lord of creation created it. The created recognizes it is sustained by the Creator.

As recipients of his kindnesses, we lift our voices in song. Melodies flow from our instruments of praise.

I join the writer of this psalm and aspire to praise the Lord as long as I live. The psalmist’s declaration is instructive for his soul to praise God as long as he has life.

Those who have gone before us found God faithful. They testify to us. The faith has been handed down to us.

I stand amazed that God has regard for us at all. The more I learn of him and the more I learn of myself the more astonished I am that he thinks of us.

Memory is a friend when you can recall all that God has done. In the throes of brokenness, when you’re pursued by your enemy, it’s good to ponder the deeds done by the hand of God.

We are in the world, but we are not of the world. “Misery loves company” carries a strong message for us. Captive people need redemption.
